Mrs. Zirkle
Art Teacher

I was born into a very loving and devout Christian family.  My parents instilled in me the importance of having a relationship with our Savior.  I remember praying with my Sunday school teacher, Mrs. Meldrim, to ask Christ to be my Savior at a very young age.  What I didn't remember as I got older was whether or not my 4-year-old mind had complete understanding of what I'd done.  As a teenager, I began to have doubts about my commitment to Christ.  The Holy Spirit

would not let it go.  He continued to prick my heart daily.  I was fortunate enough to go to a good church that had a wonderful teen program called Word of Life.  In this program, we were supposed to have a daily time with the Lord, and our leader would check on us weekly.  In doing those devotions, I realized that I needed to get some things straight, and my salvation was one of them.

I graduated from my Christian school in West Palm Beach, Florida, and enrolled in Bob Jones University.  I met my wonderful husband there during my very last semester of college.  Growing up in Florida, I had always thought that I would remain there, but God had different plans.  I married Greg, a graduate of Heritage Hall, and moved up here to begin a brand new life with him.  I went from beaches to fields of corn!  I am thankful for my parents as well as my in-laws who gave both my husband and me a great foundation on which to build our life in the Lord.  We have three children.  Matthew and Kelsey attend Heritage Hall in third and first grades, respectively.  Our youngest son, Ty, is three.

I love education, and I love teaching your children about the wonderful things God has given us in art.  I pray that I will someday stand before the Lord and hear Him say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
